Statement of Faith

“Therefore, I urge you, brothers, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as living sacrifices, holy and pleasing to God—this is your spiritual act of worship. Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.” – Romans 12:1-2

We, the administration, teachers and staff of Bethel American International School, shall and do affirm the following beliefs and teachings. The Bible, in its’ entirety, is the inspired Word of God and the only guide for conduct, faith, doctrine, and life. The Holy Trinity, God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit is one God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth and everything therein.

Jesus Christ is true God, born of Virgin Mary, the only begotten Son of God, died on the cross that we may be saved from our sins, arose from the dead, ascended into Heaven, and now, is sitting at the right hand of the Father (God) as our High Priest, interceding for us.

Repentance and restitution for sin is the evidence of a broken Heart and willingness to walk with God and receive forgiveness from God. (Matthew 4:17, 9:1-9) Salvation is by grace through faith alone. “For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this not from yourselves, it is the gift of God— not by works, so that no one can boast.” (Ephesians 2:8-9)

Faith without works is dead. For we are God’s workmanship, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.

(Ephesians 2:10) But someone will say, “You have faith; I have deeds.” Show me your faith without deeds, and I will show you my faith by what I do. (James 2:18) As the body without the spirit is dead, so faith without deeds is dead. (James 2:26)

“Train up a Child in the way he should go: and when he is old, he will not depart from it.” (Proverbs 22:6) “But Jesus said, “suffer little Children and forbid them not, to come unto me: for such is the Kingdom of heaven.” (Matthew 19:14)

The authority of the Holy Scriptures, on account of which it ought to be believed and obeyed, does not depend on the testimony of any man or church, but entirely upon God, who is Truth itself, and the author of truth. It is, therefore, to be received, because it is the Word of God.

As a matter of firm policy, for the sake of sound teaching and for the sake of unity, all Bethel American International School Board members and staff must subscribe to the above Statement of Faith in a manner and method determined by the Board of Directors, to include a written statement. Oral testimony may be requested (Titus 1:9, Philippians 2:1 11).
