Blog Day 7

Saturday, March 31, 2018
After two days in Marshall, we woke up today to an interesting weather, 2 degrees below zero and it was windy. Diane Lindstrom provided us with breakfast and we were back on the road for another three-hour journey back to the Twin Cities. It was a smooth journey and it was interesting seeing large expanses of farmland covered with snow. We arrived at Elder Aderinkomi’s house at Brooklyn Park for a brief visit. After resting for a few minutes, we went out for lunch at a Chinese Restaurant called Hibachi. I must tell you we all did justice to that buffet.

At 5pm, we were on our way to the University of Minnesota TCF stadium where the Minnesota United Football Club and Atlanta United were playing. Our students were part of the volunteers at the soccer game. All of them served as ball kids (ball boys). Although the weather was cold, they were able to withstand the cold and were on the field throughout the match.

We left the stadium at 9:45pm and returned to our host parents.

Mr. Wole Aderinkomi,
